Oscar's Hand Cycle

Oscar plans to complete the route with a specially adapted hand cycle.

The hand cycle in this instance is a machine that bolts on to the front of Oscar's existing wheelchair. It is simply a pair of front cycle forks, bearing a wheel which is powered by a chain via a geared sprocket as on a normal bicycle, creating a tricycle which is powered by the front wheel, the difference being that Oscar will have to pedal and steer using his hands!
